New Year’s Eve Countdown Concert held in the Sai Van Lake Square
People join the New Year’s Eve Countdown Party in Taipa to welcome 2015
One of the biggest countdown parties in town was the Macau Countdown Concert 2014 at the Sai Van Lake Plaza in front of Macau Tower. Organized by the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM), the event featured performances by Hong Kong-based singers Andy Hui and Fiona Sit, as well as several local singers. Following the countdown, a fireworks show was held at the Macau Tower area. Many people gathered around Sai Van and Nam Van lakes to welcome the New Year.
IACM also organized its famous Taipa Countdown Show at the Taipa Houses-Museum, with booths set up by expatriate communities. Several Hong Kong and Macau singing and dancing performances were also held.
