Rotax MAX crowns Trophy Asia 2026 winners in Macau

The Rotax MAX Challenge (RMC) crowned the winners of the International Trophy Asia 2026 on Sunday following a series of competitive racing rounds at the Coloane Karting Track in Macau.

Champions across all five Rotax classes earned tickets to the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals 2026, marking one of the first official qualification opportunities for the season’s flagship event.

In the Mini MAX category, which features the youngest drivers, Great Britain’s Alfie Mair claimed first place, ahead of Isaac Yoon and Alby-Jay Stubbs.

Thailand’s Peerapongpan Sutumno secured the Junior MAX title, with Jay Kostecki finishing second and Japan’s Takeru Shimbashi third.

Among the senior categories, Quinten Lu emerged victorious in Senior MAX, followed by Toby Gale and Tobias Normann.

In Senior MAX Masters, Japan’s Murai Kensuke took the top spot, with Hsin Ho and Yeh Chun-Yu completing the podium.

Estonia’s Ragnar Veerus won the MAX DD2 category, ahead of Alex Saarniala and Shen Ya Hong, while Kyrgyzstan’s Yan Vonzanok captured the title in the top-tier DD2 Masters class, finishing ahead of Kazuma Kimura and Tsai Cheng-Yang.

Additional races were held in the Micro MAX category, where Korea’s Daniel Yoon finished first, followed by Louis Mikami and Adam Dion ASP.

Yoon also secured a ticket to compete in the RMC International Trophy later this year in Le Mans, France.

The Rotax MAX Grand Finals 2026 are scheduled to take place from November 21 to 28 at the Portimão Circuit in Portugal.
