Sands China, together with 330 team members and volunteers from the University of Saint Joseph, Sustaincia, Oxfam in Macau, and the Youth Volunteers Association of Macao, assembled 30,000 hygiene kits for the global social enterprise Clean the World yesterday at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo.
The initiative, now in its 12th year, aims to provide essential hygiene supplies to families in need and promote resource recycling. Of the kits, 26,000 will be sent to the Philippines, while 4,000 will be distributed locally in Macau and in Hong Kong.
Each kit contains recycled soap, shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, a toothbrush, toothpaste, and an encouraging message in a reusable bag.
Since 2014, Sands China and its partners have recycled over 345 tons of hotel amenities and prepared more than 415,000 kits, supporting local and regional communities while promoting environmental sustainability.
