Taxi driver intercepted with two Macau SAR ID cards

During an operation on Saturday targeting taxi drivers, the Public Security Police Force (PSP) found that one such driver was in possession of two Macau identification cards, according to information released by the PSP in press conference yesterday.
It was around 12:30 p.m. when the PSP stopped a taxi driver on Avenida 24 de Junho and requested him to present his identification.
The police officer then noticed that aside from the ID handed to the officer, the man had in his wallet a second MSAR identification card.
Further investigation found that both ID cards had the suspect’s photograph but different personal information.
Questioned by the PSP the man admitted that about one week before he had visited Zhuhai and discovered a place that produced fake identification cards. He informed the police that he paid RMB200 for the fake ID.
The 61-year-old said that he had intentions to use the fake ID only in Mainland China for the reservation of hotel rooms without having to provide his real identification card. He was presented to the Public Prosecutions Office (MP) yesterday morning.
