Macau recorded 41.01 million border crossings this summer, averaging 661,000 per day, with a peak of 832,000 on a single day, according to the Public Security Police (PSP). Among these, 7.68 million were visitors, averaging 123,000 daily, with a high of 195,000 arrivals. Visitor origins included 75.8% from mainland China, 17% from Hong Kong, 2.4% from Taiwan, and 4.8% from other foreign countries. As of August 24, total border crossings for the year exceeded 150 million, achieving this number 23 days earlier than last year. Key entry checkpoints included Border Gate (52.7%) and Qingmao (14.9%).
