Wynn Macau hosted a large-scale Gratitude Festival earlier this month to recognize its employees and mark upcoming corporate milestones, bringing together more than 8,000 team members for a series of appreciation events.
The festival, held on March 10 at the Grand Ballroom of Wynn Macau and on March 13 at the Grand Theater of Wynn Palace, forms part of the company’s celebrations marking the 20th anniversary of Wynn Macau and the 10th anniversary of Wynn Palace.
The event aimed to acknowledge employees’ contributions to the company’s growth and service standards over the past two decades.
According to a statement issued by the integrated resort, senior executives attended the gatherings and took part in several interactive activities with staff.
During an Executive Cooking Challenge, executives prepared and served a variety of dishes to employees, including items inspired by the company’s restaurants known for receiving international distinctions such as Michelin stars and Forbes Five-Star ratings.
Executives also participated in a Wynn Uniform Fashion Show, presenting the company’s professional attire while expressing appreciation to employees across different departments. The activities were designed to encourage interaction between management and staff while highlighting the team spirit within the organization.
Linda Chen, president, vice chairman, and executive director of Wynn Macau Limited, said the company places employees at the center of its development strategy.
“Wynn always places team members at the heart of its vision,” Chen said in a statement.
“On this significant occasion of Wynn’s 20th anniversary celebrations in Macau, we have specially organized the Gratitude Festival to thank every one of our team members for their concerted efforts over the years, which have enabled Wynn to constantly innovate and become a benchmark of excellence in the industry,” the executive added.
The Gratitude Festival also featured a range of activities aimed at creating a celebratory atmosphere.
Highlights included a team talent show, performances by Wynn Care Ambassadors, and appearances by the event mascot known as the “Gratitude Bear.”
Throughout the event, employees were also served signature dishes from Wynn’s award-winning restaurants in a 12-hour non-stop culinary service.
Another feature of the event was the announcement of the results of the company’s “Gratitude Bear Naming Contest.”
The mascot was officially named “Lok Lok,” with the Cantonese word “lok” meaning happiness, which, according to the company, reflects its philosophy that positive experiences are created through people.
The festival also included the sharing of digital thank-you messages through e-cards, allowing staff members to express gratitude to colleagues and supervisors.
Founded in Macau two decades ago, Wynn has expanded its presence in the city with integrated resort properties that combine hospitality, entertainment, dining, and retail offerings.
The company says employee engagement and professional training remain key priorities as it continues to develop its operations.
In the statement, Wynn said it will continue to emphasize a people-centered approach while striving to deliver high-quality guest experiences. The company also noted that collaboration with its workforce will remain central to its efforts to support the region’s tourism sector and contribute to the city’s development.
