The 1st Angola International Fisheries and Aquaculture Fair is on from 27-30 November at the premises of the Luanda International Fair (Filda) with at least 50 domestic and foreign companies attending, the Angolan Ministry of Fisheries said.
In a statement, the Ministry also said that this 1st edition, held under the motto “Fisheries and Aquaculture of Angola – A tide of opportunities in a developing sector” will feature seven foreign countries – Norway, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Vietnam and Turkey.
The event, which is expecting over 4,000 visitors per day, is organised by the Fisheries Ministry and will take place in three pavilions of the Luanda International Fair, an area with five thousand square metres.
The Ministry also said that the International Fisheries Fair will be a good environment for business development, and make a decisive contribution to the economic recovery of Angolan fishing operators by placing the fisheries sector in a prominent position in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).  MDT/Macauhub
