Chef Ricardo Chaneton [L] and Chef Johanne Siy

MONO, Asia’s window to Latin American gastronomy and the one MICHELIN-starred restaurant that came 41st on the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurant 2023 list, is excited to welcome Asia’s Best Female Chef 2023 and Chef of the Year at World Gourmet Awards 2021, Guest Chef Johanne Siy of Lolla Singapore, which came 63th on the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 list, for its first MONO Unplugged of 2024 on February 7 and 8.

Diners can expect a culinary feast like no other as the two acclaimed chefs join forces to create a multi-course tasting menu that highlights their contemporary European culinary influences and shared passion for using high-quality seasonal produce.

“Johanne and I have known each other for a few years now and after a five-day culinary retreat at Shishi-Iwa House in Karuizawa, Japan last October, where we visited local farmers and food producers, and collaborated on a one-off menu, we decided we needed to do a collaboration and cook together once more. I am delighted to have her join me in the MONO kitchen to celebrate another year of great food with great people,” says Chef Chaneton.

Mono restaurant is localed in vibrant Central district in Hong Kong, a paradise for food lovers.

“Being from the Philippines, I’ve always had a fascination with Latin American food since we share a lot of culinary ties and traditions. Even as chefs, Ricardo and I also have a very similar philosophy in terms of our European culinary training and creating produce-driven dishes. I’m looking forward to working with Ricardo on creating a special menu filled with delicious new creations that incorporate our roots and our journeys,” adds Chef Siy.

MONO restaurant is located in vibrant Central district in Hong Kong, a paradise for food lovers.
