Corporate bits | Mizumi joins golden flower with two Michelin stars

Wynn Macau’s Japanese restaurant Mizumi continues to gain recognition for its quality with two Michelin Stars, only a year after it received its first Michelin Star in 2015. Yesterday, Wynn Macau issued a press release about the Michelin Guide Hong Kong Macau 2017, also highlighting that its Chinese restaurant Golden Flower had won two Michelin Stars for a fifth year. They added that this means “two of only five restaurants in Macau to receive the recognition are based at Wynn Macau.” The renowned Wing Lei was also awarded a Michelin Star for the eighth year running.

“We are delighted that the Michelin Guide Hong Kong Macau 2017 has once again recognized that our fine dining experiences are world-class. All credit must go to our talented chefs who bring their exceptional skills to the table everyday. HK comedian to perform at the Venetian

Comedian Jan Lamb is set to bring his ‘Jan Lamb Canton Standup in Macau’ show to the Cotai Arena at The Venetian on December 3.

The talented Hong Kong comedian, who in addition to stand-up comedy, has worked in various areas of entertainment.

He has hosted several programs on Hong Kong’s Commercial Radio 2 since the 1990s, and is currently presenting “On a Clear Day,” a two-
hour morning show which airs from Monday to Friday, with two other local personalities.

According to a release issued by Sands China, audiences can expect hilarious one-liners based on pop culture within both the Cantonese language and Cantopop music, with themes including news and the vicissitudes of life from the latest show in the series.

Local schools participate inHK tree 2016

Following the Solar and Capacitance Model Car Races held in September, CEM led 30 students and teachers from the winning schools of both races to represent Macau in the Hong Kong Technology & Renewable Energy Events (HK Tree 2016) in Hong Kong last week.

This year was the 11th edition of HK Tree. The event aims to raise the scientific and technological knowledge of the students.

Some 432 teams representing 118 schools with over 1,100 students in total participated in the event.

Yuet Wah College – Chinese Section won the First Prize in the Solar Energy Model Car Competition, competing against 115 teams. They also won the Macau Team Fastest Lap in the Solar Energy Model Car Friendly Race – Hong Kong Macau Cup.

Colégio de Santa Rosa de Lima – Chinese Section obtained the Excellence Prize in the event, while the Sacred Heart Canossian College – Chinese Section received the Solar Energy Model Car Best Design First Prize.
