The Transport Bureau (DSAT) has launched a new online service that allows vehicle registration using the “Companies and Associations Platform” part of the Macau One Account platform.
Since yesterday morning, automobile dealers or their representatives can, through the platform’s website or mobile application, submit applications for experience plates (EX plates), new vehicle registrations for private use, and pay road tax online, reducing the need for in-person visits.
The new service is said to be aligned with the government’s efforts to promote e-government and facilitate bureaucratic procedures.
DSAT explained that when vehicle dealers or their representatives submit an online application for a new vehicle’s EX plate, the vehicle owner must confirm the application
details through the Macau One Account and authorize the Identification Services Bureau to obtain their Macau Resident Identity Card image to proceed with electronic authentication.
During the vehicle registration process, vehicle owners can also check the application status in “My Affairs” of the Macau One Account, download the submission receipt, the provisional experience plate license, and the replacement vehicle registration document, schedule an inspection, and link the vehicle in “My Vehicles.”
The DSAT website (www.dsat.gov.mo) provides more details and information on the requirements and online application procedures. RM
