Sands China Ltd has appointed Raymond Voon as senior vice president of Marketing Strategy and Loyalty, according to an internal memo obtained yesterday. The move follows the departure of Virginia Lam, executive vice president (EVP) and Chief Customer Officer, who is leaving the company to “pursue other interests and opportunities.”
In his new role, Voon will oversee the marketing and loyalty functions that support Sands China’s market development efforts.
The memo, signed by Grant Chum, CEO and President of Sands China, states that Voon brings “28 years of experience in strategic planning, casino marketing, customer service, and loyalty programs.” He previously served as Senior Vice President of Customer Services at Galaxy Entertainment Group.
The Sands China CEO described Virginia Lam as “an invaluable member of our leadership team” whose contributions were key in launching many of Sands China’s properties and “establishing a strong team in market development.”
The executive reshuffle also includes the exit of Sean McCreery, executive vice president of Operations at Sands China, with McCreery’s departure paving the way for Cetin Tanisman to continue managing casino operations.
Additionally, Philip Lam and Kitty Chui will jointly oversee sales and service functions within market development and premium mass services.
