The Public Works Bureau’s website has revealed that the contract for the supplementary service of the Hengqin Line’s channel traffic system equipment has been awarded to companies Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Top Builders and Hou Chon Consortium.
The LRT awarded 20.8 million patacas for the installation of circulating system equipment for the Seac Pai Van line and the Hengqin line.
The award also includes the complementary service of equipment for the circulating access system connecting the Hengqin line.
Installation of this equipment is scheduled to conclude by September.
Significant progress has been made in the construction of the Hengqin LRT Line project. In late March, authorities announced a test train had successfully journeyed the Hengqin line, and subsequent tests on the system and trains were conducted.
The Hengqin LRT Line will provide an interchange connection with the Taipa Line. The interchange platform is situated within the Lotus Complex in Cotai, specifically in the podium section.
This platform will link the Hengqin Line’s HE1 station with the Lotus Border Station of the Taipa Line. The Public Works Bureau’s website states the contractual completion date for the LRT Taipa Line and Hengqin Line Station Link is set for July this year. Staff Reporter
