There is a very good chance that Peter Leyshan’s yard would end his dry spell this evening. A chance will be taken on his charge Ares Spear in race 5 in today’s sand meeting. It could well be his first winner in the year of the Ox. Ares Spear is a very consistent sand performer; looking closely at his morning preps that he is very full of himself and ready to fire. All his best sand performance were over 1350 metres, his last outing 1350 metres sand was in my opinion far too short for him. This time he draws barrier two and with F. Henrique in helping him to fight for a strong finish, he should get his way across. We all want to see Peter Leyshan smile his way to the winner’s enclosure this Friday evening.
