Macau to disburse 2026 childcare subsidy next week

The 2026 childcare subsidy will be disbursed on Thursday (May 14), with each eligible infant and toddler receiving MOP 18,000. The government estimates about 11,700 applications will be covered in this round, totaling over MOP 210 million. The Social Welfare Bureau reminded eligible families who have not yet applied for the 2025 childcare subsidy to submit applications by June 30. Approved applicants will receive payment within 60 days. Late applications will not be accepted.
