“MGM Family Carnival” Fosters Harmonious Family Ties

As a responsible corporate citizen, MGM has been supporting different groups in Macau to promote a harmoni- ous and healthy community. Earlier, MGM organized its first community event in the Year of the Tiger — “MGM Family Carnival”. Through a series of educational interactive games and family-friendly workshops, the carnival aims to help strengthen family bonds and bring happiness to the community.

Kenneth Feng, President, Chief Strategic & Financial Officer of MGM, said, “MGM aspires to strengthen family bonds and promote a more harmonious society through offering loads of family fun in this carnival. We are honored to receive widespread support from various associations, bringing in a greater participation from local families to jointly promote a close-knit family culture. Family is the cornerstone of healthy relationships in society. MGM will continue to work closely with the Macau government and other parties to launch more parenting education programs and help develop a happy, harmonious home for all.”

Mr. Kong, one of the parents who attended the carnival, said, “This one-stop carnival with a variety of family-friendly elements is very well designed. It has both physical and passive activities to appeal to children with different personalities and interests. Our family of four participated in workshops where we learned new knowledge togeth- er and enhanced our mutual communica- tion and understanding. This event truly provides a great opportunity for local fam- ilies to spend a happy, quality family time.”

The two-day event attracted approximately 1,300 participants in total. Apart from MGM team members, over 300 participants from families of six local associations — FAOM, UGAMM, Women’s General Association, Cari- tas Macau, Tung Sin Tong and Sheng Kung Hui — had fun at the event.

The “MGM Family Carnival” featured entertaining activities galore. There were eight family-friend- ly workshops of various themes — including Gold-Leafing Workshop, M Art Experience, Fun Culinary Experience and more — which were taught by coaches from MGM, Fu Hong Society of Macau and Sheng Kung Hui respectively. The educational fun workshops enabled participants to rejoice at the family time and meanwhile ac- quire communication skills. Besides, MGM also organized SME roadshow selling art and cultural products, stage performances by team members and various associations, and an array of game zones like kids karting area, curling experience, photo and game booths, lucky draw, etc.
