MGM fosters patriotism with team screening of ‘Dead to Rights’

MGM organized a team viewing of the patriotic film Dead to Rights last week, commemorating the 80th anniversary of victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
The initiative follows MGM’s earlier co-hosting of the Portraits of WWII Resistance Heroes exhibition, along with the government’s commemorative activities.
Set during the 1937 Fall of Nanjing, Dead to Rights follows ordinary citizens at a local photo studio who expose evidence of Japanese military atrocities.
Wendy Yu, MGM executive vice president of Human Resources, said the screening aimed to deepen team members’ national identity and patriotic awareness.
“Through this team viewing, we hope our team members gain a deeper appreciation for the hard-earned peace and stability we enjoy today, drawing strength from history and reinforcing their sense of national identity. We encourage them to embody responsibility and dedication in both their professional and personal lives,” she said.
