Non-local duo arrested for credit card abuse

A man and a woman from Mongolia, who may have been connected to a theft in Macau in 2019, were arrested on Apr. 16 evening on allegations of recent credit card theft and abuse, the Judiciary Police have announced. The police believe that the quinquagenarians had stolen a woman’s wallet and credit cards at a casino in Cotai, before using the cards to buy clothes, shoes and cosmetics products. The woman reported the case to the police upon founding her lost cards had been used to spend MOP27,500. The duo, meanwhile, was arrested upon leaving Macau from the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal.
