Risk slopes hold steady at 298, high-risk sites fall to one
Macau recorded 298 risk slopes as of July this year, three more than last year, with high-risk sites down to just one in Coloane, according to cross-departmental slope safety data. Medium-risk slopes fell to 76, while low-risk slopes rose to 221. 13 inspections were carried out between January and July, covering 47 slopes. The Public Works Bureau (DSOP) said slope rehabilitation is underway on Estrada de Hac Sá and Estrada Marginal de Hac Sá Long Chao Kok, with further projects near the Macau Tennis Association and a city-wide program set to begin. Three slope reinforcement works have already been completed this year.
