Vibrant artworks turn Sands China’s resorts into lively pop art showcase

Sands China is currently presenting a colorful pop art exhibition at its integrated resorts in support of Art Macao 2023, highlighted by two giant Disney-themed outdoor installations greeting visitors on the Cotai Strip.

‘Meet the Magic: In celebration of Disney 100 by Philip Colbert and Jason Naylor’ features two world-renowned artists whose works bring vivid colors of hope and happiness, creating an exuberant atmosphere and cultural vitality for the community’s residents and tourists alike.

British contemporary pop artist Philip Colbert and American graffiti artist Jason Naylor have each presented their unique interpretations of Mickey Mouse, in celebration of Disney’s 100th anniversary – Colbert through his iconic lobster character and Naylor with his well-known kaleidoscope of street art colours.

Outdoors, Colbert’s Lobster Mickey and Naylor’s Technicolor Mickey, each over 5 metres, welcome visitors at The Venetian Macao’s lagoon area and at Le Jardin, respectively.

Indoors meanwhile, their the vibrant, eye-catching installations have transformed The Venetian Macao’s hotel lobby.

And on Level 2 of The Londoner Macao, the brand new ASCE Diverse and Explorative Art Hub is showcasing Disney’s commemorative products launching in Macau for the first time, along with the two artists’ new original works – providing a unique opportunity for all to enjoy the world of art.
