Woman loses MOP830 in online buffet voucher scam

A resident has fallen victim to an online buffet voucher scam, losing MOP830. The Judiciary Police (PJ) are investigating the case, and no arrests have been made so far. According to police, the female victim reported that she saw a post on Facebook on June 30 selling discounted buffet vouchers. After contacting the seller, she paid MOP830 for four vouchers through MPay. Shortly after, she was told that the vouchers were sold out, so she contacted the seller again. After discussion, the other party agreed to a refund but required her to scan another QR code. However, after scanning the code, the victim discovered that her payment account was linked to a mainland Taobao shopping platform, prompting her to call police for help.
