Worker suffers finger amputation in workplace accident

A 54-year-old male non-resident worker suffered an amputation of a finger on his right hand in a workplace accident in the waters near Ilha Verde. The Fire Services Bureau (CB) reported that he claimed the injury occurred when a ship door accidentally struck his hand. The authorities received the call around 9 a.m. yesterday and promptly responded to the scene. The injured worker, employed aboard the vessel, was in stable condition and was transported to Kiang Wu Hospital for treatment.
