Amizade Square to get marine-themed makeover in July

The Amizade Square (Praça da Amizade) in Central Macau will be transformed into a photo spot featuring marine elements this July, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has announced. The square, in use for over 20 years, currently has worn-out paving tiles, marble slabs, and a leaking fountain. Authorities have decided to replace the existing waterfall fountain with a Portuguese-style mosaic-tiled wall and install new marine-themed flooring. The project is expected to be completed in July. IAM emphasized that it will strive to improve and preserve as much open space as possible to accommodate large-scale events, exhibitions, and gatherings.
