MGM participated in the “2026 International Cities of Gastronomy Fest, Macao”, held from March 20 to 29, presenting a diverse lineup of culinary and cultural experiences across the city. As a key supporter of the citywide initiative organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office, MGM’s offerings spanned gourmet creations, chef demonstrations and cultural showcases, highlighting the breadth of Macau’s gastronomy scene while reinforcing the city’s designation as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.

At the International Gastronomy Promenade, one of the festival’s programs at Macau Fisherman’s Wharf, MGM’s Portuguese-inspired booth drew visitors with a selection of dishes that reflected the city’s rich culinary influences. The menu featured fragrant Pandan Milk Tea with a tropical twist, alongside the Stuffed Cod Fish Croquette with Tartar Sauce, a nod to Portuguese traditions. The African Chicken Pizza showcased Macau’s Lusophone culinary links, while the Açaí & Whipped Yoghurt with Tropical Fruit and Granola introduced a refreshing touch of South American flair. Complementing the gastronomic offerings, a lion-themed plush bag charm blind box—a surprise collectible—added a playful touch, allowing visitors to take a piece of the experience home. Together, the booth presented a well-rounded mix of flavors, textures and experiences for visitors to enjoy.

Beyond the promenade, MGM spotlighted Macanese cuisine through a live demonstration by Redo Lo, Chef de Cuisine of MGM MACAU, who presented the classic Macanese Stuffed Crab Shell at the City of Gastronomy Showcase, another highlight of the festival. The dish exemplifies the essence of Macau’s east-meet-west culture, combining Portuguese culinary techniques with an abundance of costal ingredients from southern China and a nuanced blend of global spices. As part of the festival’s international exchange, MGM also invited guest chef Sofia Teftsi from Thessaloniki, Greece—another UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy—for a one-day collaboration at Coast in MGM COTAI. Featuring a Mediterranean-inspired menu, the collaboration highlighted the exchange of culinary traditions and techniques between different gastronomy cultures.

Further enriching the festival, MGM presented a tea appreciation showcase in the ZAPE district, as part of the event’s program lineup. Led by MGM’s tea masters, the demonstration brings together traditional tea ceremony, visual aesthetics, and elements of martial arts philosophy, offering audiences a closer look at the craftsmanship and cultural traditions behind Chinese tea.
