The election of the sixth Chief Executive (CE) of the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) started at 10 a.m. today with the president of the Electoral Affairs Commission for the Chief Executive Election, Song Man Lei, ordering the start of the procedures.
As instructed by Song, the 400-strong election college representing the different sectors of society started casting the ballots just minutes later in a smooth and orderly manner.
The former president of the Court of Final Appeal, Sam Hou Fai, is the sole candidate for the election.
