In keeping with Marriott International’s commitment to develop and empower future women leaders, Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel and The St. Regis Macao recently brought together nearly 40 senior hospitality professionals from the two hotels and their sister properties, JW Marriott Hotel Macau and The Ritz Carlton Macau.

Hosted by Janet McNab, managing director of Sheraton Grand Macao and The St. Regis Macao, the networking dinner was themed “Know Your Limits & Have None.” The dinner featured a talk by Executive Coach Janine Manning, a specialist in personal branding.

The event forms part of Marriott International’s program designed to bring women together in Asia to share their experiences, challenge each other’s thinking, and inspire each other to achieve their goals and aspirations.

“In our industry, I don’t believe we should focus on one gender being dominant over the other as I have also worked with many fantastic men. The hospitality industry is one that is broad in scope and presents equal opportunities for all,” said McNab, as cited in a joint statement.

Wynn senior employee receives excellence award

To further recognize the outstanding performance of Wynn Macau’s team members, four local senior employees were nominated to participate in the “Excellence Award for the Best Senior Employees” co-organized by the Social Welfare Bureau and Labor Affairs Bureau.

With over a hundred senior employees nominated in the scheme, the four Wynn employees were among the top 20 nominees with the highest ratings during the preliminary assessment stage.

In the final rounds, U Weng Chon from the public area department, stood out in particular and was elected one of ten Best Senior Employees, the gaming operator announced in a statement.

U Weng Chon was invited to attend the “Excellence Award for the Best Senior Employees” award ceremony where certificates of appreciation were presented in recognition of the outstanding performances of the winning employees.

U has been with Wynn for over ten years and he is currently working as a Public Area Cleaner at Wynn Macau.

Air Macau launches Changzhou route

Air Macau held an inaugural ceremony of the Macau – Changzhou Route yesterday, making it the fourth destination for Air Macau in East China.

The Changzhou – Macau route will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

It will build a solid foundation for the promotion of economic growth, trade cooperation, cultural exchange, and tourism resource sharing, the Aviation Tribune reported.

In addition, the airline is looking forward to sharing the achievements of rapid development in the Greater Bay Area with the people of Changzhou through the Air Macau flights.

The routes of Air Macau in East China have covered Shanghai, Nanjing and Hefei.

Changzhou is a cultural city with a history spanning more than 2500 years. In 2015, it was listed as a national historical and cultural city with rich cultural relics and unique features. Changzhou is also a modern and economically developed emerging industrial city.
