Cross-border vehicular traffic in February witnessed a significant year-on-year growth of 28.5%, with a total of 634,119 trips, according to data from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC). Light passenger car trips rose by 30.6% to 602,276 trips, with notable increases seen in trips made under the “Northbound Travel for Macao Vehicles” policy (321.6% increase) and Macau vehicle trips to and from Hong Kong (94.7% increase). In the first two months of 2024, cross-border vehicular traffic experienced a significant year-on-year leap of 48.0%, reaching 1.37 million trips.
