Tech billionaire Elon Musk is reportedly planning a discreet visit to Macau in late April. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO is said to be “checking in on American interests” in the region, according to an unnamed source in the aviation sector.
The source, who claims to have seen the April flight schedule of Musk’s private jet, Gulfstream G650ER (N628TS), noted a planned stop in Macau marked for the last week of the month. The purpose of the visit? “Business. Possibly blackjack,” the insider hinted.
Rumors are already swirling that Musk will hold private meetings with major casino operators and possibly even local officials. While details remain sketchy, some speculate that Musk’s interest in the city goes beyond curiosity – perhaps exploring synergies between AI, autonomous systems, and Macau’s high-stakes gaming industry.
DOGE, Trump’s administration department lead by Musk, is also said to be involved in assessing how American economic and technological interests are “protected and operated” in the SAR.
Neither Tesla nor SpaceX responded to requests for comment by press time. A source from the Macau tourism bureau, who requested anonymity and denied any knowledge of the visit, simply said, “We welcome all visitors.”
