Five injured in drunk driving car rampage

A car accident occurred early yesterday morning on Avenida da Amizade, injuring five people. According to the Public Security Police, a female driver in her 30s is suspected of drink driving, dangerous driving, evading responsibility and negligent injury. Her husband, in his 40s, is accused of “backing up” and aiding her in attempting to evade legal consequences. The incident began when the driver was spotted going against traffic near Bai Yun Garden and collided with three motorcycles before crashing into a taxi. The driver’s blood alcohol level was recorded at 1.51 grams per liter. All injured parties are reported to be in stable condition.
