Football | Oscar scores 2 for Shanghai SIPG in Asian Champions League

Former Chelsea midfielder Oscar scored a pair of goals yesterday to help Shanghai SIPG earn a 2-2 draw against Ulsan Horangi in the Asian Champions League.

The former Brazil international scored once in each half to help the big-spending Chinese club stay at the top of Group F with seven points.

Ulsan defender Richard Windbichler and Kim In-sung scored for the South Korean team, which is second in the group with five points.

In the other group match, Melbourne Victory drew 2-2 with Kawasaki Frontale.

A-League champion Sydney FC dropped points at home after losing to Kashima Antlers 2-0.

Shoma Doi and Naomichi Ueda scored for the eight-time Japanese champions.

“We conceded two very sloppy goals from set pieces,” Sydney coach Graham Arnold said. “We probably had the two biggest moments in the game to score. When you take those big moments, it’s a totally different game.”

Suwon Bluewings 1, Shanghai Shenhua 1

Giovanni Moreno scored from the penalty spot in the second half to give Chinese team Shanghai Shenhua a 1-1 draw at South Korean club Suwon Bluewings.
