Luís Gomes appointed chairman of Sports Fund

Luís Gomes has been appointed chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sports Fund, succeeding Pun Weng Kun. The appointment, effective immediately, was announced in a dispatch signed by Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng, published yesterday in the Official Gazette. In addition to this role, Gomes has been named Coordinator of the Macau Grand Prix Organizing Committee for this year’s event and is currently acting president of the Sports Bureau. Pun has taken on the role of Secretary-General for the Macau Organizing Committee for the upcoming National Games and related events.
