Marqula from Stanley Chin’s yard is my idea of an outsider’s chance in this Sunday’s MJC meeting. Watched his first MJC race in March as well as his morning track work closely; that race was a 1350 metres sand race Marqula leaded strongly starting from the barrier gate and weakened at the straight. That race gave me the feeling that it was very much like a test run for him in MJC, and looking at his prep in the morning at the track, I reckoned he will show his true colours in this coming Sunday’s turf race. This race is 1200 turf not on sand. His barrier draw in the four hold is also favourable for him to get strong lead position right from the starting gate. Marqula is an underdog in this small field of eight runners. He is my NAP on Sunday. Davy Chiu, MDT
