The local Grand Prix will once again next year stage the final round of the TCR World Tour, the organizers announced with the official publishing of the complete racing calendar for 2024.
Macau will see another crowning of the championship winner as it did this year, when the event was also part of the 70th edition of the Macau Grand Prix.
In 2024 the championship will be comprised of nine rounds starting in Vallelunga, Italy in April and finishing in Macau in mid-November with stops in Marrakech, Morocco (May), USA (June), Uruguay (August), Zhuzhou, China (September), and two Australia rounds in early November in Sydney and Mount Panorama, New South Wales.
A round to take place in July is also scheduled to take place in Brazil although the circuit for the event is not yet confirmed.
Last month, in the first edition of this new format TCR competition, the Hungarian Norbert Michelisz was crowned champion of the 2023 edition.
The 2024 edition will also be the first to be included officially as an FIA motorsport series following a one-year hiatus, in which the event, although scrutineered under FIA regulations was not a FIA official event. RM
