Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, this year’s MIMF includes several highlights, such as the highly sought-after opening concert and the closing performance ‘Faust – Opera in 5 Acts’ by Charles Gounod, among other sold out performances.
Other remarkable MIMF shows will feature Gidon Kremer with Kremerata Baltica in the concerts ‘Masks and Faces’ and ‘New Seasons’, the video project ‘Russia: Masks and Faces’ and the Asian première of the Violin Concerto No. 2 ‘The American Four Seasons’ by Phillip Glass.
Pedro Moutinho, one of today’s most renowned fado voices, will partner with Portuguese accordion quartet Danças Ocultas in a concert at Mount Fortress.
