The Public Security Police Force (PSP) reported that, as of the end of last month, the Qingmao checkpoint had recorded a cumulative total of 30 million border crossers this year, reaching this milestone nine days earlier than last year. Since January, the average daily passenger throughput at the checkpoint has been approximately 98,000, marking a 3% year-on-year increase. Macau residents constitute the majority at 53.2%, followed by mainland Chinese non-local employees at 36.3%, and tourists at 7.5%. Notably, the Qingmao checkpoint accounts for about 15.5% of Macau’s total passenger throughput.
