Visa exemption policy enables int’l tourists to discover the wonders of Guangzhou

12 tourists from Australia, the Netherlands, Argentina, and Russia were the first group of foreign visitors to benefit from China’s 144-hour visa-free transit policy. They enjoyed a complimentary one-day city tour of Guangzhou, Guangdong province yesterday. The group departed from Terminal 2 of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 8:30 a.m. and returned around 2:30 p.m. to continue their travels. As per the Guangzhou Bureau of Culture, Broadcast, Television, and Tourism, the visitors explored Huacheng Square, Canton Tower, Guangdong Museum, Guangzhou Opera House, and Guangzhou Library to admire the modern urban architectural style of Guangzhou.
