Yellow cold alert in effect as temperatures drop to 10.5 degrees

A yellow cold weather alert remains in effect, with the Taipa Grande meteorological station recording a low of 10.5 degrees Celsius as of 7 a.m. yesterday. The Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau said Macau will be generally fine and dry today, with cold conditions persisting this week under the influence of the winter monsoon. Minimum temperatures over the next few days are forecast at between 9 and 10 degrees, with lower wind chill and large day-night temperature differences. Temperatures are expected to rise slightly early next week.
