This summer, the Second Macao International Children’s Arts Festival is lighting up cultural venues across Macau, unlocking children’s creativity and imagination through a range of arts-focused activities.
In Barra District, it’s buzzing with creative energy as it hosts one of the festival’s highlights – The Magic of Lines: Serge Bloch’s Wonderland of Picture Books art exhibition, along with a free painting workshop.
Jointly presented by MGM and the Cultural Affairs Bureau, The Magic of Lines showcases the vibrant line art and signature humor of renowned French illustration and children’s picture book author Serge Bloch. Blending artistic displays with interactive games, the exhibition creates a storybook-like world where children can play, observe and learn all at once. The exhibition runs until September 14, 2025.
But the fun at Barra doesn’t stop here. Barra Mart 2.0 is held every weekend between August 30 and September 21, with new elements including pet booths, flowers and games for all ages. There’s also Barra Kitchen, Barra Mart Busking and more. A full sensory experience of sights, smells, sounds and flavors awaits!
