Corporate Bits | The Philadelphia orchestra returns to Macau

Led by music director Yannick Nzet-Sguin, the orchestra will be performing at The Venetian Theatre on May 28-29. This will be the fifth consecutive year that the orchestra has performed in Macau. The highlight of the local performances will be a special guest appearance by acclaimed Chinese pianist Lang Lang who will join the Orchestra on the first night of the Macau show, while Japanese-American violinist Ryu Goto will make his Philadelphia Orchestra debut on the second night.
The Macau performances are supported by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, while The Venetian Macao is the presenting sponsor for the Asia tour which will see the Orchestra perform in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and in Japan, Tokyo, Osaka and Kawasaki.  Tickets for The Philadelphia Orchestra with Lang Lang on May 28 and The Philadelphia Orchestra 2016 China Residency and Tour of Asia on May 29 at the Venetian Theatre go on sale today at all Cotai Ticketing box offices.

IKEA introduced its new Macau Merchandise Pick-up Point, located at the Macau Tower. Encompassing 3,000 square feet, the new pick-up point will allow Macau customers to easily collect the products which they have ordered online or at Hong Kong IKEA stores.
“Customer feedback is very important to us. We listened to what shoppers had to say, which resulted in the new Merchandise Pick-up Point,” said Patrik Lindvall, General Manager of IKEA Hong Kong. “We wanted to make shopping at IKEA even easier – picking up products that have been ordered in store or online, painlessly, is a huge part of that.”
The new pick-up point also features parking space and what the company describes as a “cozy, inspirational waiting area.”

3-1mgm pre-screen macau-shot film

MGM Macau announced yesterday that it held a private pre-
screening of “Book of Love” for over 400 MGM employees at the Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Center ahead of the movie’s release in Macau and Hong Kong today.
“Book of Love,” which is also known as “Finding Mr. Right 2”, has broken box office records in China, earning over RMB400 million (MOP493 million) within the first four days of its release on the mainland.
The resort operator exclusively sponsored the movie’s on-location filming in Macau last year.
“Through sponsoring film and TV productions, we are creating great opportunities to showcase Macau’s beautiful landscapes, art, culture and diversified offerings to the world,” said CEO and Executive Director Grant Bowie.
