DSEDT sets up 60 card replacement points for seniors ahead of spending rewards campaign

The Economic and Technological Development Bureau (DSEDT) has partnered with the Macao Chamber of Commerce to set up 60 card replacement points for senior citizens.

The measure comes ahead of the Community Consumption Grand Prize 2025 campaign, which runs from March 24 to June 1.

The card replacement points will facilitate the exchange of old senior citizens’ “Macau Pass” cards for new ones, as the old model chip does not allow for the benefits of the spending rewards campaign.

As previously announced, all senior citizens who have reached the age of 65 and have a personalized Macau Pass card can enjoy an instant discount of MOP300 on consumption by loading the new version of the “Macau Pass for Senior Citizens Card.”
To facilitate the process of exchanging cards, over 60 card replacement service stations will provide services starting today.
This card exchange campaign will run from today until May 20.

It is supported by the Social Welfare Bureau and other civic society institutions that assist the elderly.

The addresses and opening hours of the service stations are available on the dedicated website (http://www.macaospendingrewards.com).
To exchange their cards, senior citizens only need to bring the old version of the senior citizen card. After the staff has verified the information, the old card will be collected, and a replacement card slip will be issued.

The card replacement takes six to 10 working days.
The balance stored in the old card will also be automatically transferred to the new card. To collect the new card, senior citizens or third parties can go to the service points with all the documents, according to the date on the card replacement slip.
