GEG renews sponsorship of ‘Alphabet & Friends’ festival to promote Chinese–Portuguese cultural exchange

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has renewed its title sponsorship of the “Alphabet & Friends” Literary and Cultural Festival for the sixth consecutive year, reinforcing its support for cultural exchange between China and Portuguese-speaking countries in Macau.

Jointly organized by the Instituto Português do Oriente (IPOR) and the Consulate-General of Portugal in Macau and Hong Kong, this year’s festival featured more than 50 activities throughout May, including concerts, theatre performances, workshops and book-related events.

As part of the programme, GEG hosted an exclusive drama and puppet creation session at its Galaxy Kidz Edutainment Center, engaging over 30 students and parents from Escola Portuguesa de Macau.

GEG also supported bilingual reading initiatives under “Macao Just Read – National Reading Week 2026,” donating Portuguese-language publications to nearly 20 local schools. The company said the initiatives aim to promote reading, cultural understanding and Macau’s role as a platform for Chinese-Portuguese exchange.
