The Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) has launched a “Pre-Employment Training Programme” offering a monthly allowance of MOP3,500 to young people who enrol in electrical or Chinese culinary courses. The five-month program targets Macau residents aged 24 or below with at least a junior high school qualification. Trainees must maintain 80% attendance to receive the allowance. Applications are open online until July 10, with classes starting in August and September. The program is free and also provides pre-employment counselling on interview techniques and workplace adaptation.
