Guia Hill Municipal Park launches vine clearing initiative to boost forest health

The Municipal Affairs Bureau has launched a vine-clearing and forest protection project at Guia Hill Municipal Park to enhance biodiversity and improve forest health. Beginning in March, the first phase focuses on removing invasive vines and hazardous trees along the Guia Hill walking and health trails, with completion expected by mid-June. As part of Greening Week, local schools and community groups participated in activities aimed at raising awareness of ecological conservation. The project seeks to address issues such as brown root disease and invasive species, promoting sustainable forest management and long-term environmental preservation.
