Impacts of screen time on youngsters in discussion at FRC

The impacts of excessive screen time on the health of the younger generation will be one of the main topics of discussion at a talk to be held on Wednesday, May 28, at the Rui Cunha Foundation (FRC).
Jointly organized by the Macanese Youth Association, the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), and the FRC, the event will primarily focus on the impact of excessive screen time on the health and well-being of young people, as well as its effects on the education system in Macau.
The talk, which will feature the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at USJ and the Director of the Macao Observatory for Social Development, Jacky Ho, also aims to address solutions for balancing and managing screen time, including the integration of artificial intelligence tools into daily life.
Titled “Blue Wave Generation: Surfing Without Limits,” the talk, which is open to the public, aims to provide parents, teachers, and the general public with a clear understanding of the risks and strategies for prevention.
The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and will be conducted in English. RM
