Sands China has been recognised by CUHK’s Business Sustainability Indices (BSI), earning rankings in four of its indices this year.
Among them is a Top 10 ranking in the 2nd Greater China Hotel Business Sustainability Index (Hotel BSI), with Sands China gaining the additional distinction of being named a Pace-setter in the category. The company is one of only two companies out of 38 in the Hotel BSI that performed at the Pace-setter level, which was the highest level awarded in the category this year, the gaming operator said in a statement.
Launched in 2015 by the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School, the Business Sustainability Indices (BSI) promote business practices that contribute to positive social and environmental impact. This year’s rankings were announced in September, after the BSI examined the sustainability performance of 285 companies across 12 industries, based on their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) performance in 2020.
