Over 220 Sands China volunteers, including Sands Cares Ambassadors, company executives, and other team members, visited elderly residents at Seac Pai Van Public Housing in Coloane and Edifício Iat Seng Public Housing in Taipa earlier this week.
This year marked the highest participation since the initiative began in 2008.
Sands China has co-organized the annual visit with Peng On Tung for 16 years, reaching nearly 1,000 elderly service users before Chinese New Year. During the visit, volunteers interacted with about 150 elderly residents, all part of the Peng On Tung Tele-Assistance program, cleaning and tidying their homes in preparation for the Year of the Snake.
Since 2010, Sands China has donated MOP 3.42 million to support the program, benefitting over 27,500 elderly individuals. Sands China remains committed to corporate social responsibility and fostering community well-being through such initiatives.
