This week, Ritz-Carlton Macau teams up with Andrew Ho, Founder and Co-owner of the award-winning bar, Hope & Sesame, and Uno Wang, Head Bartender of Evening Standard Bar, in Guangzhou for an exclusive two nights’ pop-up cocktail journey at the hotel’s bar and lounge and café, a one-of-a-kind vibrant mixology series, with master class, duo experience dinner, and cocktail evening sessions.
Hope & Sesame opened in March 2016, is the first ‘speakeasy’ bar in Guangzhou. Tucked away behind a traditional Cantonese café in the quaint neighbourhood, the bar delivers hospitable service accompanied with delicious cocktails & nightly live jazz music. From the exploration of different lesser known ingredients to various infusion and distillations techniques, as well as micro seasonal sourcing, guests will discover a wide repertoire of techniques that perfects their beverage experience. The Evening Standard bar focuses on gin exploration experience with gin-based cocktails, which The Ritz-Carlton Bar & Lounge also specialises in. On May 21 and 22, an exclusive master class features a unique cocktail creation and a specialty canapé trio, as well as tips and tricks from passionate award winning insiders, Andrew Ho and Uno Wang, solely on May 22, and Duo Experience on both days will be kicked off with masterful creation and canapés at The Ritz-Carlton Bar & Lounge on the 51st floor, followed by 5-course French menu at The Ritz-Carlton Café. Last but not the least, Cocktail Evening dazzles with breath-taking views and jazz performance on both nights to craft unique memories at The Ritz-Carlton Bar & Lounge. Also available over the two days are two exceptional a-la-carte cocktail menus curated by Andrew Ho and Uno Wang.
