The Buzz | Romania: 3 handball players die after team bus hit by truck
The Romanian handball federation says three players died and 11 were injured when the bus they were traveling in was hit by a truck.
The accident occurred late Sunday outside the eastern city of Ramnicu Sarat when the team was returning home from a game against Vicov Bucovina.
The federation said yesterday that three players from the CSU Targoviste men’s team died instantly. The truck driver was among the 11 injured.
Mediafax news agency reported a truck loaded with timber smashed into the team bus, which had stopped on the side of the road.
