Corporate Bits | GEG holds ‘stars of the year’ award presentation ceremony

P001Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) held its annual “Stars of the Year” award presentation ceremony of at Banyan Tree Macau last Wednesday to recognize 17 team members with outstanding performance and contributions to the company.
GEG Chief Operating Officer Mr. Michael Mecca, Group Director of Human Resources & Administration Ms. Eileen Lui and senior executives attended the ceremony and witnessed the 17 candidates crowned as “Stars of the Year.” GEG Vice Chairman Mr. Francis Lui, via a video broadcast, also congratulated the winners for their commitment and support to the success of the opening of Galaxy Macau Phase 2 and the Broadway Macau in May this year.
The winners were Sam Cheong, Yen Kuok, Sun Cheong, Kai Chan, Yuki Ao, Jason Wong, Candy Ieong Wong, Ying Gong, Honson Che, Cheng Wong, Bobby Mago, Biao Cai, Cleo Chen, Isaac Leong, Mia Leong, May Lam and Lai Hoi.

The Venetian Macao presents Chi Lam Crazy Hours Live in Macao which will be held at Cotai Arena on July 4.
Cantopop star Chilam Cheung made his debut in 1991 and became an overnight sensation with his collaboration with Maple Hui “A Modern Love Story.” He became a screen idol in 2000 when he portrayed Man Cho in TV drama “Return of the Cuckoo.” His popularity increased when he sang the theme song of the show “Wishing Kwan Well.”
As part of the show Cheung will take on the persona of “Captain Cool”, his character from the TV show “Triumph in the Skies.” He will also perform some of his biggest hits, including “Love is Dead,” “Ten Fingers Interlocked” and “You’re Good but I Never Cherish.”

Bear-at-the-Sphinx_Egyptconrad macao launches bear photo competition

This summer, Conrad Macao, Cotai Central is inviting Facebook fans to win a luxury getaway just by uploading a photo of a Conrad bear at a famous landmark to their Facebook timeline between 25 July and 27 August.  All photos must have the hashtag #TravelBear and also tag Conrad Macao Cotai Central’s Facebook Page. The best photo will win a two-night stay in the Presidential Suite including breakfast.
“We know our hotel guests are world travellers so why not our Conrad bears, hence we are encouraging our guests and Facebook fans to take their bears on summer vacation with them. Just take a photo of the bear against an iconic famous backdrop from anywhere around the world and upload it to their Facebook timeline. The best photo will win a luxury stay here at Conrad Macao,” said general manager, Bede Barry.
