ENSCChinese Olympic champion Zou Shiming is stepping back into the ring to put on an exciting show for his legions of fans, as he attempts to win his first-ever world title. Zou, celebrated amateur boxer and three-time Olympic medalist, is putting his impeccable professional record on the line to challenge the undefeated International Boxing Federation (IBF) flyweight world champion, Amnat Ruenroeng. This will take place on March 7 at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Arena. Tickets for “The Showdown at Sands: Zou Shiming vs. Amnat Ruenroeng” are on sale now via Cotai Ticketing™.
The exciting matchup comes less than two years after Zou’s professional debut,  marking his seventh professional fight. This milestone fight for Zou (6-0, 1 KO) pits him against an opponent faced three times in his amateur career – losing in their first contest, but winning in their next two.
Now they meet in the ring for their first matchup since entering the professional arena. In addition to the main event, boxing fans will also be able to see undercard bouts, including an IBF light welterweight title eliminator between unbeaten Chinese puncher Ik Yang (18-0-0-1, 13 KOs) and Thailand’s Patomsuk Pathompothong (30-2-1, 18 KOs), as well as a NABO junior middleweight title contest between Australian fighter Daniel Dawson (40-4-1, 26 KOs) and American boxer Glen Tapia (22-1, 14 KOs). Also fighting in separate bouts is the duo of local favorites – the undefeated super welterweight prospect dubbed “The Macao Kid”, Ng Kuok Kun (6-0, 2 KOs), and Hong Kong’s undefeated Top-Five super flyweight contender Rex “The Wonder Kid” Tso (15-0, 9 KOs), fighting for the vacant WBA international super flyweight title.

Conrad Macao doorman wins trip to the Grammy Awards

2 Conrad Macao Doorman Peter Cao is off to the 2015 Grammy AwardsThe doorman of the Conrad Macao, Peter Cao, is off to the 2015 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on February 8, after winning the Hilton Worldwide Rock Star competition.  Hilton has been the official hotel partner of the Grammy Awards for 27 years, and, in recognition of their successful and ongoing relationship, Hilton offered team members around the world the opportunity to become their very own rock stars by entering a singing competition.
Peter Cao was one of four staff members worldwide who received the prize, winning over judges with his rendition of the Chinese ballad ‘Peach Blossom in That Place.’  His prize includes two airline tickets to Los Angeles,  tickets to the Grammy Awards, four nights’ accommodation at The Beverly Hilton and a USD500 Visa Gift Card.  This is not the first time that Peter has gained prominence for his singing abilities; he is a regular performer at in-house talent shows.
The glittering event will be packed with A-list celebrities from the international entertainment industry; Peter has expressed his desire to meet Lady Gaga. Those interested in Peter’s adventures in Los Angeles may keep up-to-date via the Conrad Macau Facebook page.
