Title-sponsored by Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) and organized by the Macau International Events Promotion Association, the “Galaxy Entertainment Macau Culture City Carnival” successfully concluded at GEG’s revitalization project – the Lai Chi Vun Shipyards. The two-day event combined urban orienteering with a cultural market featuring local SMEs and community exploration, encouraging participants to discover the rich historical and cultural heritage of Macau’s Coloane district while showcasing the integration of “culture + community + sports.”
Nearly 1,000 orienteering athletes from around the world, along with numerous residents and tourists, participated. The Carnival debuted the “World Orienteering PWT International Invitational Competition and Guangdong Historical Road Orienteering Competition (Macau, China) in Macau while introducing a “Minigame Orienteering Maze” at Galaxy Macau to further engage the public. To foster inclusivity, GEG invited Macau Special Olympics to host a booth at the cultural market and encouraged their members to experience the orienteering race alongside Macau athletes and GEG team members.
